Procedure text is a text that designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. It explain how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps.

Structure
1. Goal/aim ( or title)
- Materials / ingredients / equipment (not required for all procedural texts) : the things we need to achieve the goal.
- Steps / method (the actions that must be taken) : oriented to achieving the goal.
Language features :
1. Use of simple present tense
2. Imperative tense
3. Temporal conjunction : first, second, then, next, finally, etc …
4. Use action verbs : turn on, stir, cook, etc…
Example
Es Teler ( Ice Fruit Coctail with Condensed Milk )
Ingredients :
· 150 gram sugar
· 2 pandan leaves
· 50 ml wae
· 400 gram ripe avocado, cut into 1 cm cube
· Crushed ice
· Condensed milk
· 3 young coconut meat, scraped out
· 400 gr ripe jackfruit, deseeded and cut into 1 cm cube
Steps :
1. Combine sugar, pandan leaves, and water in a small saucepan.
2. Heat for a few minutes until sugar dissolves.
3. Cool syrup.
4. Place generous spoonfuls of cube avocado, jackfruit and young coconut into a serving bowl.
5. Add a little syrup to sweeten.
6. Top with crushed ice and drizzle on a condensed milk.
7. Serve immediately.
